About Beefy

I’m Mark Dickson or ‘Beefy’ of beefys-caricatures.com , and I’m based in Nottingham in the UK.  I started my illustration and caricaturing career way back in 1995, drawing cartoon portraits of holidaymakers on the sunny beeches of Greece.

Since that summer, I have gained a First class honours degree in Fine Art at Leeds Metropolitan University (UK), have worked as a caricaturist throughout Europe including Ibiza, Greece, and Holland, and have a successful career as a freelance illustrator. I have taught Illustration and Visual Communication at Further Education colleges, and was awarded Grade 1 Outstanding for Teaching and Learning.  I am passionate about education and creativity but most of all I love what I do!

I am married to my beautiful wife Katie, and we have two boys, Sonny Adam Fox Dickson and Louis Anthony Phoenix Dickson
